Windows 7 and Windows 8 users are eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10. However, this is a limited offer that is available until 29th of July 2016.
The Internet is full of rumors about forthcoming Windows 10 Anniversary update, which is leaked to be released on August the 2nd. (The message originally appeared on Microsoft web-site but has been removed very soon. Google, however, cached the page:) ) But the major topic for discussion is not the new functionality, but the price. In case you don’t get your old OS upgraded to Windows 10 now, you will have to pay $119 to get Windows 10 in August.
Simultaneously with this information, internet users started to post the screenshots with an option to decline Windows 10 upgrade right from Windows updater itself. Whole year Windows 7 and Windows 8 users were searching for the option to disable Windows 10 upgrade and Microsoft seems to be is ready to provide us with this option.
This picture, of course, might be another Photoshop fake – we cannot confirm since no one has this message yet. Anyway, if you decide to upgrade up to Windows 10, it’s the right time to do it for free.
